Local Council Award 2009 The objective of the Local Council Award is to acknowledge and recognise the best contribution made by a local council to sport; whether through the organising of a sporting activity or seminar; assisiting sporting bodies within their community; constructing or upgrading new sporting facilities; and/or putting up a sports monument.
