Featured Event – Gymnastics
Gymnastics is a sport involving performance of exercises requiring physical strength, flexibility, agility, coordination, balance and grace. Artistic Gymnastics is the best known and most popular of the gymnastics sports governed by the Fédération Internationale de Gymnastique (FIG). During the past weekend there was a GSSE selection of the gymnastics squad. |
| Highlighted Events – Badminton / Weightlifting
The 38th edition of the Malta National Championships was held last week with the finals reserved for Friday 1st May. These were held at St. Martin's College (Swatar),
with three categories being played namely the Men's Singles Final; Ladies' Singles Final and Men's Doubles Final. MIA Olympic Magazine was at the Cottonera Sports Complex in order to cover this important event.

The 31st European Small Nations Tournament was held at the Cottonera Sport Complex, Cospicua on Saturday, 02nd May. This tournament attracted nine different nations. Sixty five participants including lifters and officials took part in this annual event, which Malta hosted for the sixth time. Luxembourg, Monaco, San Marino Cyprus and Malta, were united with the states of Ireland, Wales, Saarland and Scotland for the 2nd Charles Mifsud International Open, which was held simultaneously. |
