Highlighted Event – Badminton / Sailing
Between the 29th November to the 5th December, Badminton Malta organized a seven-day training camp for its better players (seniors and juniors) as well as coaches. The Camp was conducted by Mr. Christophe Jeanjean, a French high-performance coach with international experience in the running of such Camps.
The precise period when the sport of yachting, or sailing as it is currently referred to, started to be practiced competitively in Malta is not known, although there are reports that a yacht club in Malta existed as far back as 1835. With the departure of the British forces, new sailing clubs appeared on the scene. During the past weekend the Sailing National Championships were held and attracted quite an interest from local enthusiasts. |
