Featured Event – MOC Seminar ‘Building on our success’

‘Building on our Success’ was the title of the Seminar organised by the Maltese Olympic Committee which took place on Saturday, 29^th September, hosted at the Excelsior Grand Hotel, Floriana .This year’s seminar appropriately titled following the recent successes at the GSSE Monaco Games  evaluated the achievements and shortcomings at these games.  This seminar was opened by MOC President Mr. Justice Lino Farrugia Sacco and addressed by Secretary General, Mr. Joseph Cassar.  In addition Mr. Pippo Psaila MOC Sports Director  focused on the technical programme for the MOC for years 2008-2012, highlighting strategic objectives and operational plan for this period.  Guest speakers  included Adele Muscat, Sports Psychologist who  focused on ‘Sports Psychology in today’s top level sport; Dr. Olga Fedotkina spoke on ‘Testing, monitor and screening of athletes – why, when and how; and Chris Farrugia  covered the topic on 'Genetic Testing for Sport Performance'.

MOC Section – Rijeka candidature

A delegation from the Croatian Olympic Committee was in Malta in order to present the RIJEKA CANDIDATURE for the 2013 Mediterranean Games.Their Presentation was held on the 25th September 2007 at the Le Meridien Phoenicia Hotel , Floriana.
