The role of the Athletes Commission is to:
Act as role models for young children;
Be involved with all matters concerning the athletes;
See that equal opportunities exist for athletes from
all social systems;
See that systems for selection ensure that the best
athletes represent Malta;
Study eligibility rules;
Professionalism and commercialisation must not be allowed
to influence participation in sport;
Make proposals to ensure that no private or political
organization, no NOC, no government and no individual
attempts to prevent any athlete from participating in
the Olympic Games;
Study and make reports on any matter refereed to it
by any competent organ of the Malta Olympic Committee.
